Jonathan Sneed, U.S Air Force Reserve Sr. Cybersecurity Test Engineer, joined Oversight IT Consulting in January 2021. Jonathan has dedicated his career in the Air Force to support the warfighter from the network perimeter in. He advanced from a network technician to a Sr. Cybersecurity Test Engineer within his ongoing 15 years of service. Jonathan also works as a Department of Defense support contractor as a Cybersecurity Engineer to develop and augment the warfighter’s support.
Jonathan is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and continues his support through consulting with IT vendors and commercial clients to understand, discover and engineer their IT road maps for a more secure, availability, compliance while streamlining operations and/or technical stack. His experience and achievements testify for his ability to work through complex, high compliance and security cleared environments.

- Jonathan implemented a $25,000 automated tool locker program at zero cost to the client. His efforts ensured 100% accountability for $4,500 in tools and reduced annual replacement costs by 95%. During this installation, Jonathan configured a secure data encryption device and upgraded 6 network switches, resulting in a 30% increase to the Command and Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Division data feeds. He oversaw the installation of 21 network switches, boosting throughput by 40 Gbps culmination in a 20 percent increase in data flow for the 5th Combat Communications Group.

- Jonathan provided critical support during the 2015 and 2017 CORONA conferences. He provided exceptional technical support to 111 Air Force leaders earning “flawless” and “superb” praises from the Assistant Vice Chief of Staff, and the Secretary and Chief of Staff Executive Action Group. His emergency management proved vital during the recovery effort of a downed Thunderbird pilot and 36-million-dollar aircraft while operating the Air Force Academy’s 2016 graduation. Jonathan championed compliance standards by upgrading 180 network devices and resolving 28,000 vulnerabilities which reversed the Air Force’s Command Cyber Readiness Inspection fifty percent failure rate. Jonathan’s oversight of the infrastructure’s vulnerability management program during the cyber security assessment resulted in 262 device upgrades and the creation of 15 standard operating procedures. Jonathan’s leadership was critical to the “Outstanding Compliance” assessment, earning him a coin from the 10th Air Base Wing Commander.
- Jonathan was a project lead on a $7M network project to upgrade 13,000 network switches while leading a team that performed over 14,000 man-hours. Jonathan’s leadership completed this network upgrade 6 months early.
